Thai Haven is a great addition to Winter Haven, in terms of different cuisine and reasonably priced Thai food. I had the Pad Thai, Thai Iced Tea, and Egg Rolls. The egg rolls seemed a bit average, but who can truly make an amazing egg roll? The Pad Thai was great, noodles, veggies, and chicken were all great and cooked well. The Thai Iced Tea was a bit sweeter than I would have liked but it was still very good. The staff are amazing, friendly, and attentive. It's conveniently located in downtown Winter Haven. I love how it brings a different level of spice and flavor to Winter Haven.

We went on a Saturday night. Service was very fast and I was impressed with the menu. Had the spring rolls to start and they were very good, cooked well and very tasty! I then ordered the Curry Duck with a spice level of 1. I think I could have gotten it a bit spicier but since I'm not a big spicy person I was a little cautious. I will know for next time. The duck was cooked well and the vegetables with the dish were very good! Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us several times throughout the meal. Portions are very generous and I shared my dish with another friend. Overall, great food and I would definitely visit again!!!

The food is really good here, always fresh and flavorful. They give an arrangement of sauces/seasonings that are very good additions to the dishes. The service is very friendly and fast. We've eaten here quite a few times and it's consistently good. kid friendly and food they'll like too. When we bring our kids here we order them the appetizer chicken patay (I think that's the spelling) none the less it's on the appetizer section and the kids absolutely love it because it comes with a little mini grill to sear their chicken on *it's already cooked though. Portions are generous and there's a good variety. The desserts are equally note worthy, the Thai Crepe and the Coconut Rice pudding so unique and yummy. The place is clean and inviting and for the most part one of the best choices in Winter Haven to grab a bite.

A great delicious local Thai place! Fresh ingredients, well made food, good service. I could see why it was busy when I walked in. Well-worth a repeat visit, especially after exploring the rest of downtown Winter Haven!

Clean, decent service, decent pricing, small family style servings. Not what I would consider authentic... In my opinion they serve "white dishes". Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just not authentic. I will not go back.

Thai haven is fabulous. I've had the pad thai, yellow curry, fried chicken dumplings, banana delights, and healthy rolls. I love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The food is a little pricey, especially if you can't make it in for the lunch special but it is delicious.

I'm pleased I came here. Very good vegetarian/vegan options. I had the tofu haven crisp and the basil tofu. The peanut sauce served with the haven crisp made the dish that much better. I'm excited to come back and try more.

So excited to find this brand new Thai restaurant in downtown Winter Haven. I tried my "usual" Thai tea, Tom Yum soup and Nam Sod salad. There were all just the way I like them. I gave them four stars only because I would love to see a shorter and less pricey lunch menu suited for a smaller appetite. The owners are really nice and I think this area needs more variety in food choices so make sure to check them out and add your reviews!!

Spectacular!!!! Best Thai I have EVER experienced! And that says a lot for a big foodie gal!!! I live in Miami but, unfortunately, nothing comes close to Thai Haven here!! Now my visits to my family in Winter Haven are so much sweeter! Papaya salad is a must! Green curry is the bomb! Simple and yet so flavorful! I'm a spicy gal so if your not take it easy on the Thai number system! And if you have Rue as your server then you are in for a treat! Hands down BEST Thai restaurant!!!

I came to this place due to the reviews on YELP. (The first time I came it was closed, opening an hour later on Saturdays.) Short version: The food is great. The devil is in the details though. I apparently started out on the wrong foot. I was given an ultra sticky menu (at lunch, as a first diner). Stuck shut and goop on my hands. A disgusting way to think about what you want to eat. I ordered quickly and headed to the bathroom to wash. The bathroom is out the back of the restaurant and down two hallways. Next time I'll use ice from a water glass for the cleanse. Upon my return, water was still not delivered to my table. I liked the lunch opportunity to "pick 2 for $10" but I think $10 for lunch is higher than my budget interest as a lunch rule. (In Lakeland, it's under $10 and includes soup, spring roll, entrée.) I liked they renamed their soup with American names--I think it's a good PR ploy. I ordered "lemongrass soup" which is the classic Tom Yum. It was well flavored, spicy. They give you a choice of chicken or shrimp--I asked for tofu and they accommodated. Flavors were vivid and vegetables were just slightly past raw (how I like them). My ultimate ginger tofu arrived hot and very gingery (better than Lakeland's). I wished there were more vegetables. Carrots were cut in pretty flower shapes but there were about 5 slices in the entire meal. Celery and red pepper slices were the only other vegetables I found (menu said broccoli, not here). Tofu was good. It was a flavorful and enjoyable meal. Near the end of the meal the waitress apologized for not bringing me a straw for my water. The tip is suggested on the receipt based on the total bill, including tax. I don't like the implication that I should tip on government tax. I would not hesitate to recommend their great food but I'm not ready to call it a 5-star dining experience yet. The menu has many other "gems" that are worth further exploration.

This food is truly amazing. I had their Thai Bread, Thai Tea, Red Curry dish and I was blown away! This place is a must go and eat! I promise! So delicious!

In a nutshell the food is well prepared and the portion sizes are inadequate. I think that this would be a good restaurant if you didn't have to order two entrées in order to have a good amount of food.

Absolutely delicious. We've been here several times and have been pleased with the food and service every time. The food is the best we've had in the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas, and it's consistently good. Tom kha is a favorite of mine, and Thai Haven has the best I've ever had. Creamy, coconutty and plenty of fresh, crisp veggies. We always share the bowl, but I have a hard time giving it up! We've enjoyed Thai flat bread, vegetable haven crisp and cucumber salad. All done to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Massaman curry is my favorite dish on the menu, and I keep going back. It's different than any other curry I've tried, and so very yummy. Panang and red are also delicious. If you like things ultra hot, just ask for 4 or 5 spiciness. You will not be disappointed. On the sauteed/stir fry items, the garden delight, garlic lover, param and cashew nut are all winners as well. Service is prompt and super friendly - we always feel welcome there. The decor is pretty, and the fish tank is colorful and adds a nice touch.

At the time of this review the restaurant was running a "lunch special"; an appetizer and entree for ten dollars. Having watched this space with interest and having the time today, I popped in to check the place out. I was incredulous when I saw the menu - you have a lunch special at a Thai place and pad Thai isn't one of the offered dishes? Despite its controversial origins in Thai cuisine, it's the national dish of Thailand. It really should be spotlighted. I chose the spring rolls as my appetizer and got something called "chili jam" as my entree, which I dared them to make as hot as possible. The spring rolls were frankly disappointing, with excellent texture but with very little to offer in the realm of taste. When my chili jam arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The warm sensation I felt would likely have most people tapping out - I'm an experienced eater of spicy Thai food, having worked in a Thai kitchen, and this stood up to my standards. Despite the unconventional name, the entree was worth the disappointing appetizer. The wait staff was quick and attentive, bringing me extra rice as soon as it was apparent it would be needed, and as soon as my glass hit half full it was being refilled. The ambience is a bit strange. Minimalist and world music influenced versions of Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga played softly as I ate. Overall a pleasant experience and a good addition to downtown Winter Haven. If you're in the area, try to stop in and enjoy it.

Wow. This place is amazing! Best Thai Food I have had since Lotus Of Siam in Las Vegas, which is considered the best in the US by many people. Thai Haven is the BEST Thai food I have had in Florida...and it is in Winter Haven of all places. The Tom Kha soup is a very large bowl for only $4.50. Super tasty, and filled with thin sliced onions. The Pad Thai was full of flavor. The Garden Delight has a sauce that is both savory, a little sweet, and garlicky. Yum! The Yummy Wonton appetizer is great too, and comes as part if the lunch combination. The only caution is that their 1-5 scale of heat leans toward HOT. I like hot food, and level 3 was really spicy...almost too hot for me. Almost. I'll go with level 2 next time. And there will definitely be a next time. We live about 40 minutes away, and we will make the drive for this place.

Went here for lunch after my neighbor and I were working on nursery furniture. She had been here previously and I love Thai food so we decided to go here. We went for the lunch period where you can get two courses for 10.00 I had the Pad See Ew and she had the Pad Thai both with Chicken and then the won tons and spring rolls are the appetizer that we had gotten for our 2nd course. The pad see ew was good but i think the pad thai tasted better but then again that is my favorite normal thai dish! My mom had come with us as well and she had never had Thai before she had the Cashew chicken with the thai salad and it looked delicious as well. Definitely can't wait to come back here again!

We go to this restaurant about once a week, have tried virtually every entree and must say it's all fantastic. My favorite is the Pad Gra Pow with a number 3 heat level and the Thai Spring Rolls and dumplings are phenomenal. Fantastic food brought to your table by a great staff. Keep up the great work.

Our family was exceptionally happy with the wonderful meal. Everything was fresh and authentic as well. Our server was quite attentive. Even though they don't have a children's menu, they are very accommodating with toddlers and teens alike. The ambience is good even though it is relatively small. Great new business.

Good food and service. However, it's a little bit pricy and I don't think it's worth the amount that you pay . Also, they changed their Closing time on Sunday, they close at 8pm instead of 9pm

My husband and I just had an absolutely DELICIOUS meal at Thai Haven. We like this place better than any of the Thai restaurants we have tried in Orlando. The dishes were prepared so well. We will be back! Wow.

Far exceeded my expectations! The food was simply amazing. I had papaya salad, steamed dumplings and drunken noodles....that were absolutely addicting! I haven't found food this authentic and delicious in Tampa or Orlando. This place is a winner!

I have been here many times and the food is always delicious but the service leaves much to be desired. The store closes for a two hour block and today we went to lunch an hour or so before they were to close. As it dawned closer to closing time the waitress was clearly rushing us. With more than thirty minutes left while we were still eating our food they turned off the music as a clear sign for us to leave. A guest in my party was served old, stale, crunchy rice that was clearly from the bottom of the rice pot. The waitress hovered around our table and made my party very anxious and rushed. But the appetizers were a few of the best I have ever eaten. The healthy rolls and the Thai salad are an absolute must have. The lemongrass soup was delicious- though very, very spicy, and the wontons are fried but not greasy at all. Delicious food, only wish the service was better.

Finally, a great Thai place in town! I go all the way to Lakeland to get my Thai food fix so was glad this place opened up. Love the variety in the food, with the usual suspects expected in a Thai restaurant, plus many more to choose from for the seasoned customer. I went with my not-too-adventurous-with-food co-workers for lunch and they liked it. The dumplings are the bomb! Plus the rest of the appetizers are delish. I also liked how the desserts were different, was so excited to see Roti and sticky rice on the menu. Was sad to see the old Vietnamese place go, but this is a great addition to the downtown WH food scene. Now all we need is a Korean Bbq place and dimsum spot then I'll be super happy!

First visit for lunch. Decor is not very good, but the food was excellent and we will be coming again. The $10 lunches are very good value and highly recommended.

Was in Winter Haven the middle of December and decided to try this restaurant. The decor is not what I expected, but don't let it put you off. The food was wonderful and arrived very timely. The service was attentive but not over bearing. It was great to see a restaurant in downtown with many people enjoying good meals. We will definitely go back for good Thai on our next visit.

My wife and I were back to Thai Haven last night and something amazing was happening. It was Sunday night, which if you're from Winter Haven, you know that most downtown restaurants are closed on Sunday. Well, Thai Haven was really busy and that's a good sign that their business is doing well. Of course, the food was up to it's usual high standards. Okay, I've had almost everything on the menu up to this point except for the duck. Someone ordered it across the dining room and when it was served on a sizzling platter, I made up my mind that we would order it on our next visit. The presentation was spectacular and the aroma wafting across the room really hit home with me. By the way, I was seated facing the window and I saw 3 different couples pass by the door and then, realizing that the place was open, turn around and come in for dinner. That says it all for downtown Winter Haven on a Sunday night.
